Good Friday Captains of Commerce!
Last evening at the scholarship awards was just awesome! We
have so many talented, intelligent young adults who will represent our community
well.
The Chamber of Commerce had many very qualified and bright
applicants apply for our scholarship, from both the El Dorado Springs Christian
School and from the El Dorado Springs Public School. The decision definitely
wasn’t easy for the Scholarship Committee to make.
Our 2014 scholarship is awarded to Miss Madison Mays.
Madison is the daughter of Jarrod and Tammy Mays of El Dorado Springs. Madison
was a Captain of the State Champion basketball team, Captain of the softball
team, Student Council President as well as having many other notable positions
and achievements including outstanding grades. Madison plans to return to El
Dorado Springs post-college to be a part of the business community as a
physician. The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to award Madison Mays the 2014
Chamber of Commerce Scholarship of $500 to go to the college of her choice.
